I was born in Ottawa in July 1959. My parents, who were both originally from Quebec City, returned to live there when I was very young. I went on to earn a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Laval University in 1982, and a few years later became a refrigeration technician. Throughout all these years, despite all these busy activities, painting has always held a prominent place in my life. My paintings have been hanging continuously in galleries since 1999.

Since 2016, painting has been my only professional occupation. I paint with acrylic on canvas. Over the years, I've stripped my work of its details, retaining only the lines that are essential to understanding the work. The representation of the cube, to which no embellishments cling, is my main tool for creating urban landscapes.
